Saint-Gobain, with offices in Central Massachusetts, donated $15,000 in building materials to renovate an abandoned house in Worcester. Fitchburg-based Workers’ Credit Union was named top fundraiser for the 2013 Greater Gardner Relay for Life event, raising $32,328, which will go toward cancer research. Chere Piermarini of Fitchburg, a senior consumer lending specialist, was recognized for raising $11,483,  the most raised by an individual. Workers’ was also the No.1 team for online fundraising.

The DCU Center and Worcester Sharks hosted an American Red Cross Blood Drive last month.

People’s United Bank, with offices in Worcester, granted $896,444 to 128 nonprofits in communities it serves in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
