GREEN EFFORTS
Southbridge Savings Bank pledged $15,000 to The Last Green Valley Inc., a group dedicated to preserving the National Heritage Corridor. FIRM SUPPORT
Attorneys and staff at Worcester-based Mirick O'Connell participated in National Wear Red Day for the American Heart Association. Employees also had the option of paying $5 to wear jeans and support the firm's Heart Walk team. Both efforts are to raise awareness about heart disease in women.
Auburn Mall donated furniture to the Auburn Public Schools and Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester. The mall is redoing its food court.
Price Chopper, with stores in Central Massachusetts, raised $24,682.13 and 34,349 pounds of food for 14 local food banks in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
Marlborough-based Sepaton Inc. partnered with United Way to give financial help to 17 local low-income families and 30 children.
