Inc. as the recipient of the 2008 Distinguished Citizen Award. This award is presented to individuals who have excelled in their chosen careers and attained an exceptional level of achievement in personal leadership and success.

 

 

Of Note... 

Worcester State College received a $2 million gift from 1963 graduate Steven Keenan and his wife, Jacqueline. The gift is the highest on record for the school.

The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) in Waltham has given a “Profitable Connections” award to the Massachusetts Community Development Finance Corporation (CDFC) for its work in helping finance small business operations and expansions.

Junior Achievement of Central Massachusetts received a $5,000 contribution from the Verizon Foundation for economic literacy and workforce awareness programs at Worcester’s Elm Park School.
