New Jersey-based Partners Pharmacy is expanding its operations in Marlborough after signing a 10-year lease on Cedar Hill Street, according to both the company and the broker, Greater Boston Commercial Properties of Marlborough.
Marc Altholz, executive vice president of marketing and business development for Partners, said the business leased an additional 18,000 square feet at 165-181 Cedar Hill St. after it outgrew its 6,000-square-foot space in the same location. Partners, which is unrelated to Partners Healthcare of Boston, will now occupy space on the first floor, and maintain some of its existing offices on the second floor, Altholz said.
The new lease includes more than 26,000 square feet, according to Greater Boston Commercial Properties.
Partners has 115 employees in Marlborough, and Altholz said the company expects to add staff at Cedar Hill Street. The space is currently being built out to accommodate the expansion and is expected to be complete by October, according to Greater Boston Commercial Properties.
“Massachusetts, for us, has been a very successful market … That’s why we’ve made the investment because we envision continued growth,” Altholz said Tuesday.
Partners Pharmacy opened its Massachusetts location in Marlborough in 2005, and today provides pharmacy services to more than 10,000 nursing home residents throughout the Bay State, Altholz said. The company acquired another pharmacy in Framingham in 2013.
