Perini Gets $1.2B Vegas Airport Contract

Perini Building Co., a division of Framingham's Perini Corp., announced it has won a $1.2 billion construction contract to build a terminal at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

The company said it expects to start building the 1.9 million-square foot terminal in August. The timeline to complete the project is estimated at three and a half years.

Besides the building itself, the contract includes an elevated roadway structure in front of the facility, pedestrian bridges, underground infrastructure and an aircraft ramp.

Perini said it has done a number of other projects at the airport in the past, including three other terminals, a heating and cooling plant and check-in counters for Host Marriott Services and MGM Grand Inc.
