Framingham-based Perini Corp. reported second quarter net income of $28.6 million on record revenue of $1.39 billion.
For the second quarter of 2007, Perini reported net income of $27.6 million on revenue of $1.15 billion. The construction firm said the increase was primarily due to an increased amount of work in hospitality, gaming, health care and office building work in Las Vegas and California.
The company said its net income for the first six months of the year was $53.7 million. Revenue for the same period was $2.64 billion.
The construction and building management firm said it had an $8 billion backlog as of June 30, including a recently signed $1.2 billion contract to build a new terminal at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
