Drew Faust, president of Harvard University, was nominated for election to Framingham-based Staples’ board of directors. The election takes place June 4. Mary Elizabeth Burton will retire from the board at that time.
Framingham-based social services agency Advocates Inc. hired Barbara Holland as chief diversity officer. She has served in diversity director positions at Framingham State University and Massachusetts General Hospital. Holland is also the president and founder of BreakThrough Partners, a consulting firm.
