Penta Communications Inc. announced Friday that it plans to move to the historic 1790 House in Westborough by the end of the year.
“We look forward to revitalizing this historic gem to preserve a special part of Westborough’s history, and to bring many of our growth goals forward in the years ahead,” said CEO Deborah Penta.
The 1790 House, located at 208 Turnpike Road, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was owned for the past 40 years by the Pearson family and hosted the Bergson’s 1790 House restaurant. That restaurant closed in July 2012.
Penta plans to use the building’s tavern area as a “technology bar,” which will feature designs for websites on smartphone and tablet platforms that the firm has developed and tested.
