Pending Home Sales Up Again In Mass.

The number of single-family homes put under agreement in Massachusetts rose for the sixth straight month in October, which the state Realtors group calls “another small, positive step” in the housing market’s recovery.

The Massachusetts Association of Realtors said the number of homes under agreement last month rose 6.2 percent compared with October 2010. However, the number is down 2 percent from September.

The figures are reversed for the condominium market. The number of condos under agreement in October fell 2 percent year over year but rose 5.6 percent from September.
