Pending home sales in the Bay State were up for the 22nd straight month in February, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR), which said winter weather kept gains modest.
During the month, 3,075 single-family homes were put under agreement, up 1.1 percent from 3,041 in Feb. 2012.
Pending home sales are an indicator of actual sales for the next two or three months, MAR said.
The number of condos put under agreement in February was up 11.9 percent over the year and 5 percent from January.
Jack Conway, a Norwell Realtor and president of the MAR, said a combination of lower inventory and several weekend snowstorms kept the gains low, especially compared to a “non-winter” in 2012.
