Pending home sales increased by 3.2 percent between February and March, according to the National Association of Realtors.
March pending sales were up 1.1 percent compared to the same month a year ago. The association’s pending sales index is based on contracts signed on existing homes.
Affordability and the availability of an $8,000 federal tax credit for first-time buyers drove the March increase, the association said.
