Pending Home Sales Edge Up In March

Pending home sales increased by 3.2 percent between February and March, according to the National Association of Realtors.
March pending sales were up 1.1 percent compared to the same month a year ago. The association's pending sales index is based on contracts signed on existing homes.
Affordability and the availability of an $8,000 federal tax credit for first-time buyers drove the March increase, the association said.
