Gov. Deval Patrick nominated John A. DeLuca as clerk magistrate of the Framingham District Court.
DeLuca has served for 31 years at the Framingham court. He began his career as an assistant clerk magistrate in 1978.
He was promoted to first assistant clerk in charge of jury trials in 1999.
DeLuca, a resident in Ashland, graduated from Utica College in Utica, N.Y., and Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
