A new outpatient healthcare facility in Westborough is among new care centers being planned by Somerville-based Partners HealthCare.

Partners said Thursday it will spend nearly $400 million in new healthcare offerings farther from Boston, including in Woburn, Westwood (which will be an expansion of an existing facility) and Salem, N.H. The company is otherwise largely known for its acute-care hospitals including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

The outpatient centers will offer a range of care options, such as primary care, behavioral health and specialty care areas like orthopaedics and neurology, Partners said. The centers require local and state regulatory review. Partners did not offer a timeline or more specific details on which services would be offered at which locations.

“We need to meet our patients where they are, and address the changing demands of the marketplace,” Dr. Anne Klibanski, the president and CEO of Partners, said in a statement. “Patients want convenience; they want access to quality care at a lower cost, and all of us want to do a better job of addressing the widespread disparities that still exist in health care. This plan begins to address each of those aims.”

In November, Partners said it would launch a rebrand in the coming years to Mass General Brigham.
