Parent company of ERA Key Realty Services names new CEO

HUNT Real Estate Corp., the parent company of ERA Key Realty Services in Whitinsville, has named Charlie Hunt as its new CEO.

The great-grandson of the company founder Charles S. Hunt, Charlie Hunt will now lead the New York-based firm, which acquired ERA Key in 2018, according to a Monday press release announcing his hiring.

Hunt earned a management degree from Bentley University in 2006 before joining the real estate industry. He was named an executive vice president at HUNT in 2015 before being named chief operating officer in 2019.

“The industry has changed significantly and requires a new generation of leadership,” Peter Hunt, outgoing CEO of the firm, said in the press release. “My son Charlie is uniquely positioned to continue building our organization’s prominence in all the regions we serve and beyond.”

HUNT Real Estate Corp. was founded in 1911 and is headquartered in Buffalo, New York. The firm had $3.64 billion in closed transactions in 2014, according to its website.

ERA Key Realty Services has 16 offices, 11 of which are in Central Massachusetts, including locations in Auburn, Charlton, Framingham, Franklin, Marlborough, Milford, Millis, Spencer, Westborough, Whitinsville, and Worcester.
