Oxford real estate group expands with purchase of Sturbridge firm

Oxford-based Byrnes Property Management has expanded its presence in Worcester County through a purchase of Sturbridge-based XACT Property Management.

The deal, which has resulted in now-former XACT owner Kelly Rynearson joining Byrnes as an employee, closed on Aug. 1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I was interested in XACT for their wealth of experience in the industry and their first-class service,” Mike Byrnes, CEO of Byrnes, wrote in an email to WBJ.

With the addition of XACT’s 100 units, Byrnes now manages more than 500 residential units in Windham County in Connecticut and in Worcester County, including over a dozen in Webster.

Byrnes is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley.
