Outages Still Rampant Across Central Mass.

Tens of thousands of residents and businesses in Central Massachusetts are still without power from the weekend snowstorm, according to the latest figures from utility companies.

National Grid said 219,000 customers are impacted by outages as of mid-Tuesday morning, with 92,000 outages in Worcester County and another 56,000 in Middlesex County. The company predicted all power will be restored by end of day Thursday.

Unitil, which serves four North Central Massachusetts communities, reported more than 4,000 outages, with a "majority" being restored today.

NStar reported 28,000 still without power in Massachusetts.
