Ottensmeyer To Leave Deanship Of Clark GSOM

Edward J. Ottensmeyer will resign as dean of Clark University's Graduate School of Management at the end of the 2009-10 school year.

In a letter addressed to graduate school "alumni and friends," Ottensmeyer said he'll take a sabbatical leave before returning as a member of the school's faculty. He is "also considering a number of ways in which I might serve" Clark.

Ottensmeyer became dean of the Graduate School of Management in 1999. At the time, Clark had 93 new MBA students. This semester, it has 125, and Ottensmeyer noted that one in five Clark students is pursuing a business degree.

The GSOM registered 600 students this semester. The university as a whole registered 900 graduate students. Clark currently enrolls more than 2,200 undergraduates.
