A 30,000-square-foot medical office building on Route 20 in Northborough has sold for $3.1 million to a Cambridge buyer.
The sale was announced Monday by Greater Boston Commercial Properties of Northborough, which represented the sellers and procured the buyer. The deal closed with the Worcester County Registry of Deeds on Sept. 4.
The buyer of 1 E. Main St. was a limited liability corporation registered to Patrick Assioun of Cambridge. Assioun is the founder and owner of Family Orthodontics, which has locations in Milford and Westborough. He also practices as an orthodontist there. The office didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.
The sellers were the Sugarloaf Trust and trustees Allyn Hallisey, William M. Egan and Philip B. Howells.
The building, which was built in 2001, is roughly one-third vacant, according to Greater Boston Commercial Properties. The firm said Assioun will be focused on attracting more medical tenants.
The site last sold in 1999 for $340,000, according to town records. It was last assessed by the Town of Northborough at nearly $3.3 million.
