Worcester aesthetic and dermatology firm Or-Genix Therapeutics has created a new position and hired 20-year corporate development executive Cristina Griffin.
She will fill the position of chief business officer for the company, which is located at Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives incubator space in Gateway Park.
Griffin’s career spans more than 20 years across several continents. She has directed more than 20 different mergers and acquisitions with a focus in pharmaceuticals, biotech, aesthetic dermatology and consumer healthcare.
The company now looks to Griffin to help it bring its skincare and women's’ healthcare products to market.
“Her background in R&D and strategic development combined with an innovative, entrepreneurial mindset will be advantageous as we continue to optimize and expand our reach into products related to skin and mucous membrane changes during menopause and other underserved needs in dermatology,” President and CEO Yael Schwartz said in a press release.
Griffin joins the company after working at Cantabria Labs in Spain as managing director of corporate development for 15 years.
“The Or-Genix portfolio will challenge the treatment norms in dermatology and women's healthcare as we know them,” Griffin said in a statement. “I look forward to forging new partnerships and working alongside the leadership team to bring our novel solutions to global markets as quickly as possible.”
