Worcester-based human services nonprofit Open Sky Community Services has promoted two senior staff members to newly created executive roles as part of an organizational restructuring move. The organization is moving to have a single leadership team to oversee both services provided and business growth.
Nancy Bishop has been named executive vice president and chief clinical officer. Bishop, who has been at Open Sky since 1989, was most recently senior vice president of new business and systems transformation, according to a Monday press release from Open Sky. She will lead strategic growth and service delivery initiatives at the organization. Bishop holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Anna Maria College in Paxton and a master’s from Boston University.
Bishop is joined at the executive level by David Lambert, newly named vice president of business development. Lambert was previously director of business development and health integration and joined Open Sky in 2017. Lambert earned his bachelor’s degree from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams and his master’s degree in public administration from Clark University in Worcester.
Open Sky employs 1,200 in the human services field throughout Central Massachusetts. In January, the organization was one of six in the region to receive a cut of funding from the state Executive Office of Health and Human Services to expand access for temporary and permanent housing and support services for adults.
