The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, named 12 local business leaders to its first board of directors.
“Our board is a highly motivated group of leaders in our community, and most of us were already close or knew of the great work each person and organization does; and I’m so glad that we now are all working together to put together meaningful events, programming, and initiatives for the community,” Clinton chamber President Lauren Crossman-Nanof said in a Tuesday press release from the organization.
Crossman-Nanof is one of three founding board members now making up the board’s executive committee. Bill Spencer of M&T Bank is the board’s vice president and treasurer, and Kerrie Salwa of the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission is the board’s secretary. The all-volunteer organization was formed in 2022 in partnership with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, giving the organization administrative help from the larger chamber’s full-time staff.
“We have really put together the all-star team for the Clinton business community, and the enthusiasm from the board members and their commitment to serving their community is inspiring,” David Sullivan, director of economic development & business recruitment at the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the staff liaison for Clinton since last year, said in the press release. “In just one year of working with Clinton, I have come to love this tight-knit community and know that a dedicated chamber run by Clintonians, for Clintonians, will help the town continue to be an excellent place for people to live and work in Central Mass.”
