Medical optics firm Olympus Corp. has announced the completion of its new, 150,000-square-foot facility in Westborough.
The new facility is located at 800 West Park Drive. The $45-million research-and-development site will be home to many of the Center Valley, Pa. company’s Massachusetts employees, according to a release from Olympus.
According to previous reporting, the company plans to relocate up to 400 employees from its Southborough and Littleton sites. Employees from those two facilities will gradually return to in-person work at the new site over the next several months, according to the release. Hiring is already underway for some specialized positions and expanded hiring is expected to take place as the economy improves, according to the company.
Manufacturing operations of the Olympus Customer Solutions Group will remain in Littleton.
