Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray, U.S. Rep. James McGovern, D-Worcester and Worcester Mayor Joseph O’Brien are expected this afternoon at the Goodwill store at 25 Park Ave., which is reopening after a round of renovations.
Goodwill said that the renovations are part of efforts to spruce up 11 of its stores in Massachusetts. The Worcester store is one of the busiest, Goodwill said.
The store served 76,000 customers and has received donations of clothing and household goods from 32,000 area residents over the past year. It has 15 employees.
The renovations to the Park Ave. store were funded by the Remillard Family Foundation, the George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation and the Wyman-Gordon Foundation.
