Oakham Campground Wins National Award
Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in Oakham was one of four parks nationwide to receive the 2010-2011 "Park of the Year" award from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
The award is based on customer service, employee training, national directory ratings and community service.
The family-owned campground has 350 camp sites and recently added a new swimming pool complex and spraypad. It is now planning a water slide and a lodge with a theater room and restaurant.
The association also gave the Massachusetts Association of Campground Owners an award for producing the best statewide campground directory among medium-size state associations.
