Nypro has agreed to lease more than 205,000 feet of space in Devens at the former Evergreen Solar plant, according to real estate companies involved in the deal.
Hackman Capital Partners and Calare Properties Inc. said the expansion will allow the Clinton-based precision-injection molding manufacturer, now a part of Jabil Circuit, to create 165 new jobs.
Nypro will occupy half of the Barnum Road building, Hackman said. French multinational construction materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain has occupied the other half since 2012.
“We are thrilled to have the building completely occupied, and we welcome Nypro,” said William Manley, chief investment officer of Calare, in a statement. Terms of the lease were not immediately available.
Nypro currently has about 650,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Clinton, and has been looking to expand to accommodate new long-term contracts to make medical devices.
Nypro employs about 800 people in Massachusetts. The company was acquired earlier this year by Jabil Circuit of St. Petersburg, Fla.
