The average gasoline price of regular unleaded in Massachusetts is down two cents from last week, averaging $2.08 per gallon, the travel organization AAA announced on Monday.
That price is three cents lower than a month ago, and 48 cents lower than Nov. 2, 2019.
“The national gas price average at the start of November has not been this cheap since 2004,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast director of public and government affairs, in a statement. “If crude oil continues to push cheaper, we could see the national average drop below $2 per gallon before the end of the year.”
Nationally, gas averages $2.12 per gallon, four cents lower than a week prior, and 49 cents lower than the same day one year prior.
