Worcester fuel distributor Nouria Energy Corp. has acquired the assets of Maine’s J&S Oil that includes 13 locations as well as the company’s wholesale and transportation business.
The deal that was announced Thursday includes eight convenience store locations with fuel, two service stations, three carwash locations, locations, a wholesale fuel supply division and a transport logistics business.
The buyout nearly doubles the Worcester-based company’s Maine presence to 31 locations and boosts Nouria’s overall locations to 140 spanning Massachusetts to Maine.
Nouria was founded in 1989 by El-Nemr and it is one of New England’s largest family-owned fuel retailers, according to the company. The company owns and now operates over 90 convenience store locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and supplies fuel to over 140 sites operating under the Shell, Irving, Gulf brands and unbranded fuel throughout New England.
