An 87,000 square-foot leasing spree has been completed by Northborough’s Greater Boston Commercial Properties, the company announced Friday.
The biggest of the leases was for 55,023 square feet in the Franklin Industrial Park where the tenant Taylor Exhibition Services, Inc. extended its lease of the entire freestanding building at 10 Liberty Way on five acres.
Taylor is a trade show exhibitions builder based out of Ontario, Canada with this Franklin location serving at its Northeast hub. The new rental rate that is 9 percent higher than the final year of its current lease, according to a release from Greater Boston Commercial Properties.
"As the market for flex and industrial space continues to tighten, narrowing supply is driving rental rates upwards at an exciting pace,” company President Bret O’Brien said in a statement.
Greater Boston also recently completed four other leasing transactions in MetroWest at 32,084 square feet. Wind River Environmental leased 6,286 square feet at 46 Lizotte Drive in Marlborough after a search that was undertaken by Greater Boston for Wind River's new headquarters.
Greater Boston also represented Commerce City, LLC, in its renewal of two existing tenants at 287 Turnpike Road in Westborough. Descartes Systems extended for 9,073 square feet and Mayflower Advisors, LLC for 2,909 square feet. Greater Boston also represented the landlord, Solomon Pond Crossroads, LLC, in leasing 3,816 square feet of first floor space at 44 Bearfoot Road in Northborough.
