Two new businesses in North Central Massachusetts have been awarded a total of $24,000 in microloans from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp.
In Leominster, Charles Simmons of Simmons & Sinclair Logistics was awarded $19,000 to help purchase a tractor to be used in the local and long-distance transportation of wood, metals and other products. The loan will help create one job.Â
In Lunenburg, Winston Burrell received $5,000 from NCMDC to start Barrington’s Autumn, a home-based holistic health business specializing in environmentally-friendly, dye-free oils and fragrances. The loan will help Burrell with purchasing of inventory marketing expenses.
