No Government Today

In response to the snow storm that hit the Northeast Sunday night, Gov. Deval Patrick called for non-emergency Executive Branch employees to stay home today.

The governor also declared a state of emergency for the state Sunday afternoon in anticipation of the storm. His office noted that the heavy snowfall and winds could lead to power outages, coastal flooding and beach erosion.
