Nichols College in Dudley has elected a new chair and vice chair of its 29-member board of trustees.
Randy Becker, a Nichols alum and member of the board since 2006, was named chair. He most recently served as chair of the Nichols financing committee, according to a Friday press release from the school announcing the leadership change.
A resident of Webster, Becker is retired, but previously worked as executive vice president and CFO of MAPFRE USA Corp. in Webster. He continues to serve as board chair and director of the company.
Becker will take the place of John Davis, who held the chair position for the last six years.
Nichols named Carolyn Burke as its new board vice president. She was elected to the board in 2015 and has been chairing the recruitment and retention committee. A resident of Sutton, Burke is the retired assistant vice president of talent acquisition at MAPFRE and most recently worked as an human resources executive consultant.
She succeeds Tom Hall, who has been vice chair since 2011.
Both Hall and Davis will remain on the Nichols board.
