Nichols College Head Heads South
Townsley
Debra Townsley, president of Nichols College in Dudley, is leaving that post to become president of Peace College in North Carolina.
Townsley joined Nichols in 1997 as dean of academic affairs, and became president a year later.
Before moving to Nichols, she worked for several colleges and universities, including Saint Michaels College in Vermont, Northern Virginia Community College and Marymount University of Virginia. Early in her career, she also worked for Booz, Allen & Hamilton Inc. and IBM.
Peace College is a four-year women's college.
