Niche executive chef leaves for Worcester food incubator

Neil Rogers, the executive chef of Niche Hospitality Group, has left to be the kitchen operations manager of the Worcester Regional Food Hub, a commercial kitchen facility for food startups.

Rogers has also been the executive chef at Volturno Pizza Napoletana in Worcester, and Tomasso Trattoria and Enoteca/Panzano Market in Southborough. He previously worked for the Max Restaurant Group in Hartford and Springfield.

The Worcester Regional Food Hub announced its hiring of Rogers, a Shrewsbury native, on Friday.

The Food Hub is a collaborative effort between the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Environmental Council of Central Massachusetts, with financial support from the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts. The Food Hub Kitchen, located at the Worcester County Food Bank on Route 9 in Shrewsbury, offers budding and start-up food entrepreneurs access to a permitted and equipped commercial kitchen facility.

In his new role, Rogers will manage day-to-day operations of the commercial kitchen incubator program and be a primary point of contact for tenants. He’ll begin in the new position April 10.
