National clean energy company Nexamp, which maintains an office in Sturbridge, has won a customer acquisition award from the Northeast Clean Energy Council, the company announced in November.
The award was given to recognize Nexamp’s approach to using digital tools and platforms to meet with customers in the face of COVID-19 restrictions, according to a press release.
“As a company that prioritizes personal connections and relationships, Nexamp has a rich history of hosting community meetings, attending events and working directly with customers and partners to educate them on clean energy solutions,” said Allan Telio, senior vice president of community solar. “Fortunately, technology today has made it easier to do this virtually, and we have embraced a number of platforms to remain just as connected to each of our audiences.”
As the pandemic took its toll, Nexamp said it worked with local leaders, nonprofits and other groups to promote and hose interactive virtual meetings in order to better connect with prospective customers.
“As the Back to Work Challenge Customer Acquisition Award winner, Nexamp pivoted quickly to our new virtual reality by using digital tools to engage with customers despite the pandemic,” said NECEC president Peter Rothstein, in a statement.
Nexamp was also named runner-up for the on-premises project construction and installation award, according to a press release.
