Framingham-based Staples Inc. has promoted Lisa Scopa to vice president and treasurer.
Scopa has worked for Staples since 2001, most recently as director of corporate finance planning and analysis. Before that, she worked in finance and corporate development for companies including IMB, Hearst Corp. and Sterling Winthrop Inc.
She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Scopa succeeds Nich Hotchkin, who has been appointed senior vice president of finance for the company’s U.S. retail business.
