Framingham office supply giant Staples Inc. is shifting one of its senior executives, Shira Goodman, into a new role.
Goodman, executive vice president of marketing, will become executive vice president of human resources on May 1, replacing Susan Hoyt, who is retiring.
In her new role, Goodman will report to CEO and chairman Ron Sargent.
Goodman joined the company in 1992. Since 2001, she has held the marketing EVP position. She has also led the company’s integration of Corporate Express, which it acquired last year.
