When Wachusett Mountain Ski Area opens for the season tentatively on Nov. 29, it will have a new restaurant in nearby Princeton serving its customers.
Wachusett Mountain announced Thursday a new Mountainside Market Cafe will open on Mountain Road in Princeton about four miles from the ski area.
The restaurant’s owners, Katherine Huck and Robin Springfield of Princeton, are restoring the historical Wachusett Mountain Reservation’s Superintendents home for the restaurant.
Along with hoping to open on Nov. 29 or earlier — depending on weather — the ski area announced some new improvements for the season, including two new grooming vehicles that bring the overall number to seven, a radiantly heated outdoor patio and a new beginner teaching area.
