The Worcester-based Hanover Insurance Group Inc. has named Gary Y. Kusumi as president of the company’s personal lines business.
Kusumi previously served as president and CEO of personal lines at GMAC Insurance of St. Louis, Mo. Before that, he helped lead two divisions of Great American Insurance Group in Ohio. He has also worked for the Progressive Cos. in Ohio.
In his new position, Kusumi will be responsible for personal line products, pricing, service and underwriting strategies. He will work in the company’s Worcester office and act as a member of its executive leadership team.
