The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent to Netezza Corp.‘s “real-time mitigation of data access insider intrusions” technology, the Marlborough-based company said.
The data storage and monitoring firm said the new technology is able to identify the “behavioral characteristics of illegitimate data access.”
The new technology allows users to specify compliance controls and security policies and to prepare multiple responses to unauthorized data access.
