Evergreen Solar Inc. has introduced a new line of Chinese-made solar panels designed for the off-grid market.
The panels will be made by Jiawei Solarchina Co. Ltd. in China using cells supplied by Evergreen, which is also building a manufacturing plant in Wuhan, China in partnership with Jiawei.
The new line will be available in 80, 120 and 125-watt panels and are suitable for 12-, 24- or 48-volt battery charging.
Evergreen is based in Marlborough and has manufacturing facilities in Devens and Michigan.
