The New England Regional Headache Center will move to a new location at 23 Harvard St. in Worcester from its Prescott Street location on Sunday, following the purchase of the historic James Marble House.
The Headache Center completed the $740,000 property purchase on Oct. 13 through an affiliate Marble House Properties LLC, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The Jerome Marble House was built in 1867. It was designed by Elbridge Boyden who designed notable structures in Worcester including Mechanics Hall, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Boynton Hall at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and the estate of George Crompton, which once looked down upon the city from atop Vernon Hill in Worcester.
The Headache Center, led by Dr. Herbert Markley, treats patients who suffer from intractable headaches and migraine disorders, according to the clinic's website.
James Keogh of Worcester brokerage NAI | Glickman Kovago & Jacobs represented the seller, Attorney Anthony Vigliotti in the sale. Vigliotti purchased the building in 2019 for $300,000 according to the registry of deeds.
