Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., of Worcester has brought back former employee Amy George to fill a newly created role as executive director of community relations for its subsidiary, the New England Recovery Center, in Westborough, the nonprofit announced on Thursday.
George previously served as a facilitator for Spectrum’s alcohol education program and as the nonprofit’s regional business development liaison. She was with Spectrum from 2011 to 2016, according to her LinkedIn.
George’s new role did not previously belong to one position, but was instead spread out across several different administrators. As executive director for community relations, George will be in charge of overseeing the admissions department and business development team at NERC.
“I am so excited to be given the opportunity to work at Spectrum Health Systems once again,” said George, in a statement. “Working in the field for as long as I have, you begin to form an understanding that addiction can touch anyone, and that is what keeps me committed to the field.”
