The New England Center for Children, a Southborough nonprofit specializing in treating children with autism globally, has named Darryl Agostinelli as its first chief technology officer, the school announced on Tuesday.
Agostinelli will be tasked with spearheading technology initiatives in IT infrastructure, automation and cybersecurity, per the announcement.
“I am thrilled to be joining NECC in their important mission of transforming the lives of children with autism,” said Agostinelli, in a statement. “Technology today is as much a business imperative as it is an infrastructure issue.
Previously, Agostinelli was founder and principal of Saggio Technologies, a technical consultancy in Texas. He has spent more than two decades in software engineering, working for Microsoft, Razorfish, Dell and Charles Schwab. He holds a computer science degree from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
Through its direct locations and its software services, the New England Center for Children has locations in 19 countries, including Bahrain, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, India, Ireland, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
