The New England Biotech Association, an organization of biotechnology advocates and companies in the region, has elected a new president, Paul Pescatello, the director of Connecticut United for Research Excellence.
As the president for 2010, Pescatello said he hopes to focus on educating school-aged children in math and science to prepare them for careers in the biotechnology industry.
The association has more than 600 members including biotech associations, companies and academic institutions across New England.
