A new Indian restaurant will open at 64 Water St. in Worcester’s Canal District, filling the space left by Maddi’s Cookery and TapHouse’s closure.
Bombay Lounge will open on May 1, according to Romeo Pereira who is listed as a manager of Bombay Lounge LLC in filings with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth’s office.
Maddi’s closed in November, one of several restaurants to shutter in the Canal District in the fall.
Early 2023 has seen a resurgence of restaurants and bars in the district, including 107 Tap, Femme Bar, and Blackstone Herbs and Martini Bar.
