New design computes for IT mag

For its 40th anniversary issue, Framingham-based Computerworld magazine will unveil a new design.

According to the company, Computerworld will become a magazine-size publication, which the company said, reflects the magazine's move toward more "deeper magazine-like analysis of IT issues."

The newly designed issue is scheduled to come out July 9, the company said.

According to Matt Sweeney, Computerworld's president, CEO and publisher, the new design also would "free up some funds so we can continue to invest heavily in our fastest growing businesses," which are online and events.

Computerworld is a unit of International Data Group, which publishes more than 300 magazines including GamePro, Macworld, Network World and PC World.
