Workers' Credit Union of Fitchburg has elected new directors Melissa Maranda, Patrick L. Muldoon, Eric D. Shapiro and Raymond J. Martino and re-elected James E. Rouse and Wilho J. Myllymaki to the board.
Martino is president and CEO of Fitchburg industrial cutting tool company Simonds International. He serves on the board of directors of the Fitchburg State College Foundation and the University of Connecticut School of Business. He is past chairman of the board at the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce.
Myllymaki is retired director of purchasing for United Cooperative Farmers Inc., which was a farmers' cooperative based in Fitchburg. He has served on the Workers' board since 1985, and is a past chairman.
Rouse is president and CEO of Fitchburg manufacturer Micron Products Inc. He serves on the boards of directors of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation. He has been a member of the Workers' board since 2007.
Maranda is director of gift planning for the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
Muldoon is president and CEO of HealthAlliance Hospitals, the arm of UMass Memorial Health Care in Leominster and Fitchburg. He is a member of the board of directors of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and the boards of trustees for the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Hospital Association and the Spanish American Center.
Shapiro is the co-founder and principal of Lexington private equity real estate investment company Lexvest Partners LLC.
Shapiro and Martino will serve two-year terms, expiring in 2012, while the others were elected to three-year terms expiring in 2013.
