International Workplace Group, a company based in Luxembourg specializing in opening and managing co-working offices, plans to open up several new co-working spaces in Massachusetts, including two in Worcester, one in Southborough, and one in Leominster.
The company intends on opening eight workspace centers across the state, including locations at 287 Grove St. and 370 Main St. in Worcester, as well as locations at 3 Park St. in Leominster and 257 Turnpike Road in Southborough, according to a Nov. 15 press release.
The Worcester and Southborough locations will operate under IWG’s Regus brand, while the Leominster location will be under its HQ brand.
“With important business hubs across the state, Massachusetts is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans,” Mark Dixon, CEO and founder of IWG, said in the press release. “The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal.”
In a separate press release issued in July, IWG said 287 Grove St. in Worcester will be a 15,000-square-foot facility. It is located in The Trolley Yard Plaza, which contains several other existing businesses, including a Starbucks, a Chipotle, and a Workers Credit Union location.
The 370 Main St. location in Worcester is The Guaranty Building, a 12-story high rise in downtown Worcester includes a TD Bank location and the nonprofit Community Legal Aid among its tenants.
The 3 Park St. site in downtown Leominster is a three-story building with a Subway restaurant and a Century 21 real estate office.
IWG’s proposed Southborough location is located on Route 9 in a three-story office building, with tenants including New England Dental Group and AndPlus, a software development firm.
All of these locations are expected to open before the end of 2023.
IWG has approximately 4,000 locations in more than 120 countries, with multiple Fortune 500 companies among its client base, according to the company’s website.
