A new urgent care option has arrived in Central Massachusetts as New Hampshire-based ConvenientMD has opened its second Worcester clinic located at 70 Gold Star Blvd.
ConvenientMD’s first Worcester location marks its fourth Central Massachusetts clinic as the provider operates urgent cares in Framingham, Leominster, and Westborough, according to the company’s website.
In addition to its routine care for illnesses and injuries, ConvenientMD’s new location offers services including $50 youth sports physicals, U.S. Department of Transportation physical exams, and electrocardiograms, according to a Thursday press release from the provider.
The new clinic is open daily for walk-in service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers virtual urgent care for minor needs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
ConvenientMD runs 43 urgent care locations and four primary care practices across Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. The provider accepts most major insurances in addition to offering self-pay options for those uninsured.
“Since opening our first clinic 11 years ago, ConvenientMD has been proud to fulfill a need in our communities for fast, affordable, and quality urgent care services,” Gareth Dickens, co- founder, chairman, and CEO of ConvenientMD, said in the release. “The Worcester location is no exception. The clinic is staffed by exceptional local physicians, providers, nurses, X-ray techs, and other medical professionals who look forward to delivering the best medical care to patients of all ages in a welcoming and friendly environment.”

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said the new ConvenientMD's urgent care was its second Worcester clinic and was located at 18 Belmont Ave. The clinic is ConvenientMD's first Worcester location and is at 70 Gold Star Blvd.
