Marlborough-based data protection platform company Sepaton has promoted Mike Thompson to president and CEO, replacing Mike Worhach, who will remain with the company as vice chairman of the board of directors.
Thompson, who joined Sepaton in July 2010 as executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, is the former president and CEO of Egenera Corp.
Before joining Egenera, Thompson was senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and a member of the board of directors at Stratus Technologies.
Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven.
